Dipa Karmakar, born on August 9, 1993, is an Indian gymnast from Tripura State. She made history by becoming the first female gymnast from India to compete in the Olympics. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she participated in the vault event final and finished in 4th place. Her performance included the challenging Produnova vault, where she competed against gymnastics stars like Simone Biles, Maria Paseka, and Giulia Steingrubber.
