Education and UPSC Journey:Born in October 1980 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, IPS Simala Prasad comes from an accomplished family. Her mother, Mehrunnisa Parvez, is a renowned Indian Literature contributor and was awarded the Padma Shri in 2005. Her father, Bhagirath Prasad, was an IAS officer.Simala Prasad completed her schooling at St. Joseph Co-Ed School and pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.She later earned her post-graduation degree in Sociology from Barkatullah University in Bhopal.

While working as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), she embarked on self-study to crack the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE). Remarkably, she cleared the UPSC CSE in her first attempt and secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 51 at the young age of 22.

Film Career:IPS Simala Prasad has made headlines by venturing into the world of films.
